At On Point Dentistry, our team of professionals knows you have many questions when it comes to choosing the right dentist for your family. This is why we want to provide as many answers as possible to make the decision-making process easier for you. You’re always welcome to call our office, but if you prefer to do your own research, you will find a few of the most common questions listed below. Feel free to contact us and schedule an appointment. We’ll be happy to help!
Can you just walk into a dentist’s office?
To get the most efficient experience possible, it is advised that your first visit start with an initial phone call. It is during this time we will listen to your needs, ask questions about your dental history, and identify a convenient time for you to come in and see us. Our team will also be happy to send you any new patient forms so when you arrive for your in-person appointment, we can quickly check you in and escort you to a treatment room. This will help save a few extra minutes and avoid you having to wait before seeing Dr. Caballeros.
How do I get emergency dental care?
If you are needing emergency dental care, it is important that you first evaluate the situation. If it is a life-threatening injury, call 911. If not, our team of experts will be able to assist. No matter if you’ve knocked out a tooth, chipped or broken a tooth, lost a dental crown or filling, have a severe toothache, or busted your lip, we are equipped to treat these common dental emergencies in-house. We are also pleased to offer same-day appointments for patients who are in pain.
Should you determine it is not a life-threatening injury, simply call our dental office and explain the situation to a member of our team. After determining the severity of the issue, we will recommend you come in right away or during an available appointment time. If you need to wait at home, we will provide you with step-by-step instructions as to how you can care for your problem and avoid further damage. Once you arrive at our office, we will quickly treat the symptoms before formulating a more thorough treatment plan to care for the underlying issue.
How much does it cost to get a tooth pulled without insurance?
It is not uncommon for a regular tooth extraction to cost between $150 and $400. The price will vary based on various factors, including:
- The type of tooth you need removed
- The type of extraction you will need (simple or surgical)
- The location of the dentist’s office
- Whether you have dental insurance or not
Because this type of dental procedure is not something that should be put off, it is advised that even if you are uninsured, you should take advantage of our Loyalty Savings Program. This allows you to pay a low monthly fee for access to basic dental care as well as receive discounts on various treatments, including extractions. You can also apply for financing through CareCredit, which is a third-party financier that offers payment plans to help you better manage your budget.
What do you do if you can't afford a dentist?
Just because you think you cannot afford the dentist does not mean you should put off regular dental care. In fact, preventive care is one of the most effective ways to avoid more serious problems in the future. Without it, you can be faced with more timely and costly care in the future. If you have dental insurance, make sure to use it. At On Point Dentistry, we work with most dental insurance companies and happily accept most major PPO plans. We’ll also take care of all the necessary paperwork and claims, so it is a much easier and less stressful experience for you.
If you do not have dental insurance, you have two other available options: enroll in our Loyalty Savings Program, which allows you to avoid deductibles, annual maximums, and waiting periods, or sign up for flexible financing with CareCredit. You can choose the payment plan that is right for you.
How can I find the best place to get dental care?
As you choose a “dentist near me” who you believe is right for your family, it is important that you determine the criteria that are important to you. Do you want someone close to your home or work? Are you interested in a professional who can offer comprehensive care in-house and doesn’t require multiple referrals? Do you want someone in-network with your dental insurance plan?
