Plaque Build Up
Plaque build-up is extremely common and along with it comes the collection of bacteria around your teeth and gums. If not removed daily with brushing and flossing, this bacteria can begin to eat away at your teeth, breaking down the enamel and making them more susceptible to decay.
The acid that your stomach uses to digest your food is potent enough to break down everything you eat, and the pH of it is just below that of battery acid! If you struggle with stomach issues, such as acid reflux, the stomach acid entering the mouth while digesting your food can cause the enamel on your teeth to wear down over time. How to Avoid Tooth Enamel Loss

- Avoid highly acidic foods and beverages.
- Brush and floss every day.
- Make sure to include plenty of Vitamin D and Calcium in your diet.
